@timbray I went with a .ca for the first time earlier this year, when I registered a domain for the first time in decades. I also got the .org, but did note that was controlled by the U.S. (which I'm trying to avoid these days).
The context is the Autistici/Inventati shutdown based on a unilateral claim that they are terrorists.

@timbray If you think you might need to do it, I’d say do it sooner rather than later. If you do lose control of the .org domain, the longer you have a redirect to the .ca in place beforehand, the better
