@siracusa when I bought my first TiVo it had a lifetime subscription w/ purchase. It only handled NTSC, so it’s been dormant at least 20 years now.

I lost the remote during the hdtv digital broadcast transition. It was still plugging away with scheduled recording until, perhaps after, I disconnected my cable.

I am curious as to what might be on its disk. There was a wifi widget and an app that one could connect to it via an old 2009 era MacBook, to transfer its contents. Unsure what to do now

Haven't used Tivo in over a year after switching from Fios to YouTubeTV. Still miss Tivo, the YTTV DVR is so bad at navigating and playback. Just jumping ahead is so many clicks because they use the terrible YouTube interface instead of Apple’s.
