@imaginaryuncle honestly, teachers using AI to plan defeats the purpose of planning. It has to be intentional based on your groups, not something to have time saved by using AI.
The _one_ thing that has been helpful for me, and just this year, is having a tool find potentially matching NGSS* standards based on an assignment title and description. The standards are thick and it's easy to miss links. I still review, but I don't have to hunt.

@imaginaryuncle And I mention planning specifically because that's what most of the companies suggest in marketing - planning and feedback.
Both remove the human from the most important parts of teaching.
@brianb Totally agree with you. I’m finding more and more teachers are using AI this way which troubles me. I feel that this really causes credibility issues with students. They can tell when teachers cut corners and cheat.
@brianb @imaginaryuncle Completely agree. At our pre-term meeting yesterday we went through quite a few teaching scenarios, and the consistent thread in analysing them was just that, the importance of using your experience to tailor lessons to the students you have and give relevant feedback for that student in the context of their situation and progress. A computer system simply cannot do that.
