I restomodded a 1995 GPS Time & Frequency Server, and learned wire wrapping, a little GPS history, and how to avoid the Telstra back-to-2006 bug. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CivRNW0b1H8

@geerlingguy Oh noes, Jeff has fallen in love with Claudia. Do we stage an intervention ?
Nice retro upgrade nonetheless.
I love wire wrapping but I haven't used it much for a while now. I just tend to mill out small PCB adapter boards where possible since the desktop mill / engraver makes it so easy.
@deepfryed definitely not in love, too many tiny hallucinations. It's a handy tool, though. It's like upgrading from a nicad to a liion drill. Things are smoother and thoughts can turn into code a little more quickly.
But ultimately, it's just a tool!
@geerlingguy @deepfryed "just a tool" jeeeeefff nooooooo, come on 😭 you can do better

Thanks for sharing this article. I often struggle to create a rubuttle to a claim that is *technically* true, like AI being a tool. This article helps with that particular case.
