@exchgr It's instructive that people want to have it both ways when they speak reverently about Leica lenses. The ones riddled with distortions and field curvature have "character". The super-expensive APO lenses are "optically amazing".

@exchgr Oh, but the Noktons are merely "too clinical". Not like the Leica APOs. Not at all.
@mattblaze apo-lanthar, perhaps, but nokton definitely has some of that leica character 😅
@exchgr Right, sorry. I got the nomenclature backwards there. Though in my own experience the Noktons have much less field curvature than the Summilux lenses, which you simply can't focus with a rangefinder unless you put the subject in the dead center of the frame.
@exchgr If Sony raised the prices and made the lenses difficult to find, they'd have a chance.
