Europe attracts and fosters top talent. 🔬
The European Research Council has awarded €705 million in Starting Grants to 421 early-career researchers across Europe.
This gives them the opportunity to pursue bold ideas, build their own teams, and shape the future of science.
We'll also welcome 21 researchers, currently based in the US and Canada, who will move to Europe to carry out their projects. This is almost double last year's number.

Solvay conference pic of 1927, just before the "EU" *lost* most of this nice all-white cadre of scientists to the US, compared to a random stock photo of a white woman, with numbers that are ridiculous .. 421 scientists? Is that even 0.2% of the number of foreign scientists working in the US?
