Seeing people talk about kids going back to school, and. UGH.
School was Hell. They wanted me to wake up at fuck-you-what-time?, spend my day sitting in a miserably stiff desk/chair, listen to some teacher drone on about shit I did not care about or had already done on my own. Surrounded by hostile chimps, fascist admin. Take this homework.
I tried skipping, getting AP or testing out, NOPE, parents beat me or cops at the door if I skipped all day.
FUCK THAT. Blow up the schools, kids.
If current-me was then-me, I'd've dropped out at 13. Tried to scam someone into letting me program for money. Dumpster dive. Head somewhere warm so I don't die in the winter.
But back then? Zero chance to escape. Open-air prison, not that I got to see open air much. Bought weed or acid or booze to get thru the day, but couldn't afford much of that. I had to raw-dog sober go thru 10-ish years of just the worst (I maybe didn't mind grades 1-3? 4+ sucked)
DON'T BE A FOOL. DITCH SCHOOL.
@mdhughes school was insanely regimented for me. I went to one of those elite ones. It has kinda made me anxious and jumpy in some weird deep core way that I am having to spend a lot of effort undoing.
Completely agree that schooling is fucked.
