Anyone from #Germany here? I'm just really curios about how much #balkonkraftwerk there really is over there. Do you see them a lot in your daily life? Are there some streets or neighbourhoods where they're everywhere? Would love to see a photo of such a street, if so.
@forteller Not Balkongkraftwerk, but last week when I was at vacation at my hometown Lüneburg, I saw that the apartment building where I grew up 50 years ago, now is equipped with solar panels. In addition the gas heatings get replaced with heat pumps. Looks like that town is skipping balkong solar but focusing on large scale rooftop solar. „Energiewende“ is working!
@forteller It depends, but what I find interesting is that you can see these small solar islands. If one neighbour installs solar panels, the neighbours around them will often buy them as well. But even some of my friends still think it’s just a toy.
Saving €250 isn’t enough... That always reminds me that energy is still too cheap in Germany, even though we have really high prices.
