Reminder: Apple is not your friend, even with a new CEO. Apple will continue to do some good things and some very bad things. Any feelings of love you have toward Apple is not reciprocated: Apple has no feelings. It’s a multi-trillion dollar company that, like every other corporation, would like your money but does not care about you, or your values, at all.

@brentsimmons Apple relies heavily on the “Whom would you rather do business with?” attitude. Most people aren’t trying to switch to Google or Microsoft in the wake of Tim Apple smarming up to Donald John Trump, convicted felon, adjudged sex offender, and president of the United States.
The best I can do, and maybe I’m not alone in this, is to make my Apple products last longer and resist the urge to upgrade as soon as the existing product is paid off. That’s the degree of control I have with any corporation: Not “I’m not buying from Corporate Oligarch No.1 ever again”, but “Corporate Oligarch No.1 better earn it this time.”
@brentsimmons Still there are many ones believing in that forged narration. The deceased founder was an expert pied piper. So much that customers are still blindly buying, and don't see the marketing trap.

Apple will point to the secret door that leads to the attic you and your family are hiding in because you had to have Candy Crush in exile and they know it.
@brentsimmons For example, soldering ram onto motherboard which prevents upgrades and ensures earlier obsolescence. All the rare earth metals in a computer doomed to a short life span because Apple is not a friend anymore.
@brentsimmons @dmoren indeedcorporations have ONE goal: to make as much money as possible. Some achieve it in ways that *seem* better than others, but it’s ultimately the same goal.
