The amazing thing about studying the entire history of the literal fucking Holocaust because "someone has to KNOW this shit" is the way people who have not done so will glibly and confidently tell you that everything is fine because they feel a way, even as you are watching the process of the Holocaust replicated step by step in real time.
We are at "it's fine if one of them dies every six days - you barely even notice." Zyklon B is about a half decade away, tops.
