Okay but brey, you must realize by now that "learn to code" was never career advice at all, but merely a catchphrase designed to dismiss the concerns of workers while our politicians were being paid to outsource labor to third would countries our CIA shoots union leaders in.
The secret trick of neoliberalism is that it's a project to restore power to a new aristocracy and it works by removing all borders for capital, while strictly enforcing borders for labor (people) to replicate serfdom.
Thus capital, money, rich people, can seek the cheapest labor price (typically associated with the lowest labor rights), while the poor are essentially confined to easily exploitable economic zones. In this way you effectively drive down the price of labor and render regulation and labor law moot - you can simply go to the place desperate enough to not have labor laws. And in a race to the bottom someone is always gonna be willing to burn their labor class to get in the game.
Also btw, all this ties into climate crisis too - because sooner or later the means to support 8B+ people is going to become the means to support 4B+ people and so forth as time goes on.
Ask yourself why these fuckers are responding to a climate crisis driven by fossil fuel-based, extractive capitalism by - hardening borders, building out massive police states, and removing civil and labor rights at speed. The answer is right in front of you.
