I remember doing a design packaging project in 2011 for a NZ product that was mainly sold in Europe. The manufacturer wanted to use moulded plastic housing to encase the product however I soon discovered that the packaging the NZ manufacturer wanted to use was banned in the EU.
I developed a cheaper and more sustainable cardboard box to house product. The manufacturer was disappointed that they were unable to use plastic as they wanted the product to be visible through the packaging but accepted that there was no point in spending more on a package that was banned in its largest market.
This #NZPol govt is either so dumb or corrupt they have to be considered mentally unfit to govern.
