This is the last month of activity for the Open Access Tracking Project (#OATP, @oatp). September 30, 2026, will be the last day of tagging and updates.
The Harvard instance of #TagTeam -- the #OpenSource tagging platform on which OATP ran -- will start winding down soon after. But the code will remain open for all who might want to upgrade it and host their own instances elsewhere.
My 2+ years of effort to keep OATP and TagTeam alive were ultimately unsuccessful.

The OATP social-media posts on Mastodon, Bluesky, and X/Twitter will remain online.
On October 1, 2026, we'll save the OATP dataset in CSV format, put it in Harvard's digital preservation system, and put it in #Dataverse for access and use outside TagTeam. I'll import it into an open Google Sheet for spreadsheet-level querying.
I'll share the Dataverse and spreadsheet URLs as soon as they're ready. Stay tuned for those details.

Today is the last day of the Open Access Tracking Project (#OATP, @oatp). After today, there will be no more tagging and no more news feeds.
The data will be open in CSV format under CC0. I'll share the link when it's ready.
I'll have more to say tomorrow when I update the OATP web site with a page on the end of the project.

I'm not leaving, but I am laying down this 17 year old project. On its behalf, goodbye!
