@travisfw oh, possibly https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/199349339-lifehouse by @adamgreenfield (getting ever higher on my list... By the way, a friend just told me about some people somewhere in the UK (guessing Bristol) who are trying to build something based on the book.)
@fskornia 😬 seems like the main threat in that book is cannibalism.
perhaps an accurate *allegory* for the economics of today.
@travisfw There is only a small part that relates to cannibalism.
Mostly it is a struggle to survive in unbelievably bleak circumstances, with no resources or goal behind getting to the next day and only a single family member to depend on.
