Old school Dad stories are like, my Dad loved horses, and one day he stopped riding horses for eight years, and threw something in the old well, and covered it with concrete, and never talked about it again.
@RickiTarr My dad grew up in a small village in the Carpathian mountains. He has a story about being chased up a tree by a wolf while coming home from school, to which he had to ski uphill, both ways.
There's a second story about hiking to a new year's party while carrying a backpack full of sausages while howls arose from the woods.
@RickiTarr I visited the little village and walked the hills to and from the school - it was actually uphill both ways. I did not see or hear any wolves.
Did you find anything interesting in your Dad's well?
@anca Why does this sound like the beginning of a fairy tale?
@RickiTarr Fairy tales start out with a grain of truth...
