Instead of “constellation”, the collective noun for satellites should be “smog”.
“A smog of satellites made it impossible to enjoy a night sky viewing, despite otherwise perfect weather.”

I'm not sure why, but they repeatedly ask astronomers to say "large constellation" instead of "megaconstellation."
I am a completely undiplomatic jerk so I now have multiple published papers and media articles with "megaconstellation" in the title, because I know they hate it.
I really like smog though! Smear and spog are quite good too
