Today is a special day...Abuelita (grandma) is going to be making a batch of sofrito and I'm going to finally learn the recipe to make it myself.

What is sofrito? It's the special ingredient that is in EVERY Puerto Rican dish. And instead of having my grandmother make and ship it to me, I'm going to learn the family recipe.
