@1password I’m a family customer and cannot begin to express how disappointed I am with your sponsorship of Omarchy, an organisation led by DHH, a white nationalist who has outright called for the ethnic cleansing of Europe.
I’m just one subscription, but if you continue this, I won’t be giving you any more of my money so that you can pass it on to such people.

@f4grx sorry, what? Yes, this is a red line, which is why I’ve been very vocally anti-DHH for ages now, and am actively leading the effort to fork Rails.
Maybe don’t attack people who are on your side; we don’t have energy to waste for infighting. That just helps them.
@Floppy it was just surprising to read that you "will stop your subscription in the future". I would have expected your subscription to stop *now* but of course I'm not you.
@f4grx given I’d *just* found out, and it was late night, and I need to move my entire family who are on a shared plan, no, I hadn’t immediately pressed the cancel button. Some things take planning, people have lives and time zones exist. I *will* be looking into my options today, but I hope it’s OK with you if I have breakfast first.

Lets not forget they also made a $1million donation to get Rails Foundation started and donate $75k/year.

Jason is the VP of Product at 1Password, and his company Kolide was acquired by 1password in 2024. He attributes his success and being a multi-millionaire to Rails + DHH 😅
