This is especially egregious as instead of funneling money to the vanity project of a right-wing assclown that has few if no technical merits whatsoever there’s so many deserving open source projects that could really benefit from donations to finance partial or full-time work on them.

@thomasfuchs the reality is that money wouldn't end up going somewhere else though. The money is there because of personal connections to DHH.

Yes someone else should get it, but they aren't donating for FOSS, they are donating out of loyalty to DHH.
