@aral Pretty good article. I went in 1997 and 98. After 98 I never went back, the writing was definitely on the wall.
I still had friends who went after that and they had a great experience, I was happy for them.
@aral the article talks about the origins in anarchy and got bored it's a luxury escape for the wealthy. I think Silicon Valley taking over Burning Man is exactly what killed its soul.
But I've never been there, so I'm just repeating what I've read.
