SwiftTerm parser performance challenges are now down to making sure the Swift inline inlines (some functions blew up past internal limits and even @Inline(always) would not inline, costing me 3%).
@Migueldeicaza I remember watching movies where the hackers were typing in a text terminal and then the screen bursts into a full color 3D graphical environment and laughing at myself about how ridiculous that is and how that's not how anything works.
The movies are getting the last laugh, it seems.
@bigzaphod haha true, this is not as scary as watching the recent Chinese robot competition and realizing that the Terminator future is no longer far from sci-fi.
