For Reckoning’s next special issue, we are asking for environmental justice flash fiction of 1000 words or less. While we'll take 1-1200 words, we strongly prefer things in the 500-1000 range. [Leer en español] For the first time, Reckoning is open to novella submissions for stand-alone publication! The fiction we publish is mostly, but not exclusively, speculative. We appreciate surreal, literary, and experimental pieces as well as strong plotting, but prefer writing that doesn't lean too far into pulp. Everything from the main submission guidelines applies,
