I am making poor life choices today and two of them have been to lug my very heavy Singer sewing machine onto my bed and then into my desk
Yep. Poor life choices. Nauseated from pain now and about to cry 😭 and I already took codeine
@alexisbushnell I've got some lovely naproxin now. I dread how bad my neck would be without it. *optional ehugs*
@wokstation they switched me from naproxen to etoricoxib which is supposed to be better for ankylosing spondylitis but I think I'm still recovering from being off it for 2 weeks for my MRI and also I'm not sure it's helping as much as I'd like it to
@alexisbushnell @wokstation Dunno if this is useful but a friend with osteogenesis imperfecta found that she had to take etorocoxib every 12 hours but had been told to take 2 tablets once a day. As soon as she split the dose into 12hourly apart the effects were much better. It has a very short half life.
Stupid skeletons are stupid.
@NatalyaD omg no way, I asked about that but the pharmacist said they would never allow it to be split, they only allow it as once a day... I'll speak to them next time I see the GP or rheumatologist. Thanks
@alexisbushnell The BNF (British Drugs Bible) has 30mg tablets and for Ankylosing Spondylosis it's suggesting 60mg once a day but you can get 30mg tabs and I'd be well in for pushing the GP for 2x 30 and try it that way. I genuinely can't see the harm in it.
