The university crisis has been engineered by the Govt. & a supine university managerial class, often at odds with their staff... a dispatch from redundancy 'negotiations' concludes, university managers,
don't really have a viable model of the value of universities' work;
blame staff for not understanding the crisis; and
are reactive without plans.
Its not not a pretty picture but the outlines were already visible 5 years ago before I retired.
