@thunderbird when setting a retention policy on a folder in Thunderbird desktop is this retention policy only locally run or is this some kind of flag per folder on the IMAP server?

@BjornW Hey there! Setting a retention policy on a folder affects both local storage and the server because it is IMAP. In other words, messages deleted through retention permanently delete messages everywhere. Hope this helps!
