the other part of the AI bubble is that the Chinese stock market is doing a *separate* AI bubble
where companies like Moonshot release Kimi 3 as a loss leader in preparation for their IPO
so the bubble will need to go in both countries
extensive notes with possible article this week on the Chinese humanoid robot thing, which is ~100% financial kayfabe and state enterprises buying from state enterprises with similar stock market aims (because humanoid robots are fucking useless)
@davidgerard I'm uncertain what's going on with those humanoid robots to be fair. Personally, I don't see it beyond the chinese to deliberately push these to force US companies to invest in useless development (which, as history shows, always cost WAY more in the US than in china)
@davidgerard That's an interesting question; will ours popping take out theirs? Or will they keep it up longer?
I don't think the USA in particular is emotionally prepared for being the poor kids.
