I do not understand "open source mRNA" vaccine

to produce 100,000 vials of injection grade mRNA vaccine requires huge resources
I recall that in 2020 or so, the Woman (I forget her name) who was the lead scientist at Moderna said they were doing in vitro RNA transcription in 10 liter bags normally used to hold cell culture media

@failedLyndonLaRouchite You still need the resources to produce the vaccine, but you don't need to pay someone a licence to use their design, which is a huge expense.

@hildabast @failedLyndonLaRouchite IIRC during the first few covid waves, developing countries were essentially cut off from having effective vaccines. They were ready to produce them, but licensing was too expensive.
