I'm getting a bit frustrated with the various Mastodon apps for Android.
Tusky doesn't support quote posts, and scrolling is janky.
Fedilab scrolling also stutters.
Pachli doesn't group notifications.
Mastodon official doesn't let you swipe between the tabs or customise them much.
I'm on a Pixel 8 Pro - so scrolling performance shouldn't be this bad!
What's your favourite #Android **app** (not website / PWA) for the Fediverse that you personally use on a regular basis?

@Edent I've been using phanpy for well over a year. I don't know that it addresses your specific experiences, but I've test a couple of others and keep coming back to Phanpy.
@Edent tusky the least bad for me. i can switch between accounts easily, it's well-featured. i don't really quoot much, and when i need to, "copy post url" is right in the menu.
Maybe Snowdrop, it's pretty new. Unsure if it has all the features you want, I don't post that much so my experience might be different.

There's Raccoon, it supports Mastodon and in the changelog it mentions quotes.

@Edent I've been using Moshidon and have been happy with it. Scrolling always seems fine, you can swipe between timelines and the UI is nice. Might be worth giving it a go. YMMV obviously.
@Edent I mostly use Moshidon and/or Pachli because both are very modern clients with good settings options and I like the interfaces. Moshidon looks more like the default Mastodon app but adds some functionalities. Pachli looks like Tusky but works better for me and is a little bit more customizable.

@Edent I've been using @phanpy a lot. "Installed" to my phone via a browser.

@M0YNG As I say in the post, I'm not interested in a PWA.
@Edent not sure how I missed that bit. Possibly the brackets after last bit made me subconsciously skip it.
The reason it mentioned it was despite being a PWA it has become my default way to access Mastodon even when u have multiple other native apps installed, and that suprised me somewhat.
There is a "native app version" but it's just a slop coded wrapper so probably not of interest.
@M0YNG sure. But the PWA doesn't support "send to" as a target, and it doesn't support swiping between columns.
@Edent I've settled for Pachli for the last year or so. I find that, for me, it's the best of a mediocre bunch.
