Once again thinking about selling my $700,000 house in bacchus marsh and buying a $1,000,000 apartment in or near the Melbourne CBD, then remembering how much I hate moving house.

@decryption How did you end up out there anyway? I thought it was for the lifestyle but was it because house+land was cheap?
@beamflash yep, cheap and at the time one of the few parts of VIC that had full NBN FTTP (I purchased the land almost 14 years ago, moved into the house 12 years ago!) - I never even heard of bacchus marsh until I lived here

We sold our 120m3 back in 2014!for well that.
@madkiwi yeah around that size 100-130sqm it seems ($1.1-$1.2m might get up to 150sqm) - Melbourne apartment prices have stagnated, there’s more supply than demand

@jpm @franksting technically bacchus marsh is not Melbourne! (But it is closer to Melbourne CBD than some parts of metro Melbourne)
