Graphene migration complete! Nearly painless. Biggest issues were self-inflicted by avoiding Google Play like the Google Plague, but by using the Aurora Store and some dev options, I was even able to get Android Auto working.
And Gemini is nowhere to be found. Huge success.
@mttaggart awesome! I did the basic graphene a few months ago. I need to look at the alternative store and what apps to use to degoogle. I don't use android auto, that should make it easier. Please share more of your experience as you go forward. Much appreciated.
@mttaggart What's the hardware you have underneath?
I've been thinking about switching with my Pixel 6 Pro, since I really, really don't want the stock Android 17 update
@stroz My first test was with a Pixel 6a I had kicking around. That went just fine, but wasn't my actual activated phone. The Pixel 9 Pro is, and that's what I completed yesterday.
I really recommend it for Pixel users.

I went with google play though on my setup (for reasons I do need to keep some play store apps installed)

@stroz The reason this jumped to priority 1 for me was that the latest Android updated murdalized my battery life. Like 50% cut; couldn't make it through the day. I am in much better shape now.
