Just hypothetically, what would happen if Canada put a 100,000% export tax on toilet paper being shipped to the USA four weeks before the midterms?
@david_chisnall the US Govt would declare wiping your butt illegal.
@david_chisnall Finally americans would find out that its possible to wash your butthole clean using just water like the rest of the civilized world for a few thousand years... hehehe.
Screw the toilet paper. Kick them in the Dongle.

@david_chisnall That'd be a shitshow!
@david_chisnall That could turn into a real shit-show!
speculation:
I was unable to find really comprehensive numbers on manufacture of TP across the globe.
but afaik, Can supplies about 6% of US market, so it *has to be true that given a few weeks notice, the US supply chain could source TP from other countries
A sudden halt to all shipments would lead to spot shortages, which would be amplified by news and social media into a HUGE problem which would lead to panic buying
a positive feedback loop on steroids
@david_chisnall The orange loser would tell everyone to use a "Biden Bidet" and have "Biden wash their ass"
@david_chisnall
Could Canada not simply close the Welland Canal? All eight locks are located in Ontario and operated by the Canadian side, as far as I understand.
I genuinely wonder what the economic consequences of that would be for the United States. How much of the U.S. economy — and how many Americans — depend on goods being transported through the Great Lakes–St. Lawrence Seaway system?
@david_chisnall Not even that would convince Americans to clean properly with a bidet.
@david_chisnall I don't know, but I bet it would be hilarious
