I wish I liked tea. I've tried to like tea countless times, and I've tried a very wide variety of types! But at best, even my favourites are only things I like on rare occasions, like chai or black spiced teas of various other sorts. Or spiced rooibos! And I'm pretty sure that's because I like spices, not because I like tea.
@idzie
As a tea, I'll try not to take this personally.

have you tried:
green rooibos
honeybush
a decent sencha
gyokuro (and/or gyokuro karigane)
green kukicha
?
i don't like black tea at all, and i thought i didn't like green either until i had decent green. and now i love it so much.
green rooibos is lovely too ...
@moonrabbit I'm pretty sure I've tried a decent sencha and green rooibos? Don't think I've tried the others, though can't say for sure. I doubt I'll ever be a big fan of green tea though because I pretty much always prefer stronger, richer flavours. Dark roast coffees, dark ales, barrel aged liquors etc. Green tea is kind of light for my tastes, while also still being tea-bitter, and that's just not for me. 😭 The style of green tea I've liked the most wins probably be genmaicha! Adds that toasty kind of flavour I like :)
@idzie
fair enough! although given the toasty preference, i will also mention (last suggestion, honest!) roasted kukicha or hojicha. and now i will go away 😂
@moonrabbit haha no need to go away, I will make note of those 💚
@idzie I feel the same way about coffee. I love the vibe of coffee shops, and my partner loves getting special coffee drinks. I am also someone who gets tired really easily, so caffeine would be useful to me, but I just really don't like coffee.
@Sacha very fair! I *like* coffee, but I don't love it. I'm a big fan of certain kinds of fancy, dessert-style coffee drinks, but I'm not someone who drinks it every day. The smell though? That I love!
