can anyone recommend a headless cms they trust?
e.g. for publishing hugo generated static sites with an integration
my research so far brings me to these constraints:
1) no byzantine config (like decap/sveltia)
2) not run by a rug pulling wannabe megacorp (directus et al)?
3) doesn't require a tonne of auxiliary services when self-hosted (directus et al)
there's a sort of gold rush of headless cms products firing on all cylinders right now and the llm bomb didn't help

@d1 this is a super tricky thing to find unfortunately. i have looked at this several times, too, and never really found anything that i was completely happy with.
one aspect that i found makes the search harder is how tech-savvy you expect the users to be.
maybe https://github.com/ponzu-cms/ponzu is interesting for you. it's a headless cms with a rest api in a single binary, persisting to disk / into sqlite. it's no longer actively maintained, but that might be fine for you
