while it's reasonable to consider opsec at all times with any email service, RiseUp is a US-based 501(c)(3) and is not likely to be treated the same way under the specific set of laws used to attack the Italian group

Personally, we are just... surprised that Riseup is US-based. It's kinda silly and we have no idea what we were thinking, but we have gotten on Riseup like 6 years ago in what felt like a different life, and we thought they aren't US-based for some reason, and never double-checked. So it's not like, the highest urgency situation for us, we aren't even tied to US in any way, but having dependency on a US collective in this year feels... suboptimal, is maybe how we'd put it.
