Trans people in Wales need your help right now (a thread)

NHS Wales’ Quality, Safety and Outcomes Sub-Committee has transphobes in it.
The tories said the Welsh Gender Service was too good at its job and some dickhead journalist has made it everyone's problem.
Cis folks - keep reading and do the action points at the end of this thread, then boost and directly contact your other cis friends to get them to do the same.

We believe the NHS Wales’ Quality, Safety and Outcomes Sub-Committee have now told the GDNRSS (national surgery referrals) and hospitals to stop gender affirming surgeries for welsh patients effective immediately. We are verifying exactly who did this, why, when, and how - This is not final information but a handful of welsh patients have already come forward to say they have been turned away.

Write to your non-Reform or Tory MSes, especially if they are Plaid - https://test.senedd.wales/find-a-member-of-the-senedd/
Make a complaint by contacting your local Llais team, who are the NHS Wales patient advocacy team - https://www.llaiswales.org/in-your-area
It seems like the NHS Wales Joint Comissioning Committee (NHSWJCC) are the ones who have made the decision here.
