I mean the fucked part is on some level, guys like Trump and Stephen Miller agree with the Canadians. There is the idea that percolates throughout fascist ideology that all these "woke socialist countries" (read: Western capitalist "democracies" with healthcare) survive off the US teat, and the reason THEY can have healthcare and social programs is WE'RE doing the SERIOUS work of capitalism back here. If THEY had to stand on their own, they'd be Nazis just like we are.
