The president of the United States turns out to have a lot of power in both theory and practice, and "just ignore him" may not be a wise or viable strategy.
@mattblaze
I've been told by multiple people that I should stop paying attention to news/politics because it impacts my mental health so much.
the people who said this have all been white, cishet, able-bodied men.
my reply is always "ignorance for the sake of comfort is a privilege that you may have, but I don't"
@mattblaze abuse of that power might not be in the best interest of the United States of America...
OTOH, this President also seems to have way less power than he thinks, is no longer able to make many credible threats and can't make any credible deals. So although we can't ignore him, at the same time he does do a lot of face-planting failures.
@ncweaver.skerry-tech.com Yes. It turns out pushing (or hitting) back very often works quite well here.
