I have no idea how I'm going to accomplish even half of the things I'm supposed to do in the next month. I feel rather paralyzed at the moment. I have so many farm things (bringing in the straw tonight, harvesting/preserving all sorts of veggies, moving the goat fence ever-faster on grass that's drying up and not growing anymore). My kids start school next week. My teaching is going to be a fucking disaster this semester. And I have to write a new research grant. Fuck.

I did have a great time with my parents who were visiting for a few days. And a neighbour dropped off buckets of ground-fall apples for us to feed the goats. So. Happy goats.

And now I need to figure out how to move lecture videos off of the fucking terrible Zoom AI platform, write angry letters to admin people, write angry letters to the FCC, write angry letters to the FAA, catch up on a week of terrible emails that I only responded to the most urgent of.... and of course figure out how to get SpaceX to not destroy the atmosphere and Low Earth Orbit.

York U getting professors to pay poor grad students to do tech admin and other filing type work. It's extra cash, and profs sometimes have. A couple thousand in budgets left lying around for things like these. Win-win.
