Banks and other financial institutions are largely clueless about the operational reality of cybersecurity as they exist in a bubble of near limitless budgets compared to other sectors - they don’t deal with real incidents at the same scale as elsewhere as they’re in control ivory towers. They’re the least intelligent voice to be inputting about cyber future.
