@AnarchoNinaWrites I think George Carlin said that capitalism loves drugs that help people labor; caffeine and nicotine for the weekdays and beer for the weekends: and jumping from here, the complain about "religion is an opiate for the masses" is that it brings negative attention to a drug useful for capitalism. tbh I don't know that religion even changes people's dispositions, given how often it excuses feelings drawn from unrelated to circumstantially related places.
(In before some clever shithead says "that was in the context of racialized birth rates" as if talking like a fucking race "scientist" from the 1890's makes it better... do not. I will fucking bite you.)
