Oh hey, my old X61 tablet no longer boots and the indicator lights are unresponsive to being plugged into an otherwise working charger (I tested the charger with other thinkpads of the same generation and it works fine)...
Anyone got any ideas on how I might revive it? I remember giving up on it before because I tried to replace the ram and the replacement ram I got was faulty, but I don't remember that interfering with it receiving power. The thing's just been sitting on a shelf w/o battery.
Oh hey, my old X61 tablet still boots! This wonderful tablet laptop (tabtop? laplet?) is from 2008 and has a gorgeous high res 1024x768 screen, multi-touch, a built in wacom tablet, a swivel screen, an early dual core processor, and currently two of god's own gigabytes of ram.
Supposedly I can upgrade it to 8 gb of ram, so I might even be able to open a modern web page on it eventually.
The keyboard is actually *really* nice so I think I'm gonna just fix it up instead of buying a new laptop.
