I think he's in a better position to know than I am. But I remember everything I was learning as a young environmentalist putting me off having kids. That was the 1990s, and that stuff I knew then is now common knowledge. So his argument certainly sounds convincing to me.
BTW do you know what program these clips are from and what I can see the whole thing?
People have been projecting this exact confluence point I can recall since about 2008 in my personal circles.
I remember -right- when gopros & dating apps first were possible (before mass adoption) my tech friends were debating what that new tech would do.... and we basically hit every single application and issue we're seeing rn.

Guilty as charged, but we only have them to keep girls at bay so we don't catch girl cooties, which everyone knows are much worse : P
