@heidilifeldman Another thing worth noting: the (contested) executive order directs the USPS to filter ballots being sent TO voters, not the marked ballots returned from voters. Once you've received your ballot in the mail, the EO is no longer in play; there is nothing in the order that directs the USPS to filter the marked ballot you send back.
@MsMissy I would prefer to focus on actual problems rather than making problems up. Details matter here.

I treat my ballot like fine jewelry or cash. Would I trust it in the mail? No, and my father was a postmaster. I'm sure he's rolling over in his grave with this crap.
If people can, they should hand their ballot into the election clerk's office personally. If they can't, they should find a drop box, drop it off early, and track their ballot online, should their municipality have that function.
Treat your ballot like the very future of the country depends on it, because it does.
@MsMissy By all means you should take great care in voting.
But if vote by mail is an option, discouraging voters from availing themselves of it will mean some of them won't vote at all.
I am not discouraging anyone from voting. I'm working on increasing turnout. However, we should all treat our ballots like they are as precious as they really are.
I understand that some can't drop off their ballot in person; I am fortunate my clerk's office is on my route home from work.
The USPS has shown a naked willingness to screw with ballots going out; it's only realistic to wonder if they may do the same with them coming in. That isn't defeatist; it's realistic.
