Calls for “the public” to “own ‘AI’” are just a transparent attempt to make the general populace hold the trillion-dollar bag for a con game.
There is no reason ordinary people need to pick up the tab for this particular Ponzi scheme.

SpaceX’s massive debt (from being saddled with a failing “‘AI’ company”) has already been offloaded (via IPO) to regular people’s retirement and pension funds; now other Silicon Valley grifters want to pull a similar scam and run away laughing with bags of ill-gotten cash. It’s disgusting.
