Back in the mid 2000s as an inept coder I was making slop… slowly. But making slop was how I learned to be less sloppy.

@urlyman Handcrafted slop -- that is how we all start .. slow coding, more thought is put into the code ..

Nowadays, zero thought, yank out code as fast as possible .. patch and bugfix forever.

@cisene yes. Speed is the (usually explicitly stated) objective of the slop engines.

Cannot end well

@urlyman WTFs/line of code .. and kLOCs/day, thousands lines of code per day .. only the first is valid.
