We’ve been married for almost 20 years yet still don’t understand how the big guy falls asleep in 3 mins flat. Meanwhile I’ve been in this bed since 9:30 (it’s 10:43 now) and my brain is making train noises
@farah men can compartmentalise like champs. I fall asleep in nothing flat. *staying* that way is a whole different ballgame though. My last unbroken 8 hrour sleep was late December 2024 - yes I'm tired dammit.
@farah Ha. story of my life. I have had trouble falling asleep my entire life because my brain will. not. shut. down. Now I take meds for it. I love how I'm not staring at the ceiling at 3 am, 4 am, 5am, sometimes even 6 am! It's been a game changer for me. I did a sleep study etc. before it was prescribed for me.
What med, if you don't mind me asking? I suffer insomnia a lot.
@farah @Uair I should add that it's rare to be prescribed for so long, and many people have side effects including sleep walking, etc. I never have, but I have struggled with this for a lifetime and have a doctor who specializes in sleep and did all sorts of tests on me. Even so, I need to take the pill sublingually - dissolve it under my tongue - for it to have an impact. Other sleep meds have no impact on me at all.
@Uair Zolpidem. I should add I have NO side effects. Never have had.
