I dunno folks, it's just... like I don't like Americana? I know way too much about America to love us. I'm sorry, it's just not possible anymore. So if your selling point as an artist is "I do Americana" I'm just prolly not interested. I don't do Bruce Springsteen and John Cougar Mellencamp for the very same reasons.
I genuinely kinda hate us, so songs that celebrate us just don't hit the same for me.

Lol, same. I'd never thought of it in those terms, but there are a whole bunch of artists who I respect as talented, but who simply do not so anything for me, and yeah... This is the common theme.
What I can say is that I'm always sad for music fans who lose an artist they love. I get that. And I think that's what's important in these moments. But I mean the music itself? Sorry that's a dealbreaker. I just ain't into it.

Oh, I don't like the music either. But I'm a big fan of the books for kids.
