For those in the UK puzzled why we Americans are so distraught over the passing of Dolly Parton: try to remember how you felt when you heard Queen Elizabeth had died. Then imagine how much worse it would have been if Queen Elizabeth had ever helped anyone

@jalefkowit trust me when I say, Dolly was as revered in the UK as anywhere. I'm a lot sadder about her passing than I was about the Queen.
TBF, that wouldn't be hard. However, Dolly was on my list of strangers I hoped never died. It's a very short list.
@toychicken I’m just kidding around. It’s a testament to how Dolly lived her life that she was loved the world over.
@jalefkowit I reckon for someone that was alive for 80 years, she lived a lot longer than that. 😁
