I was never a fan of Dolly Parton's music, but I was a huge admirer of her social activism.
She knew her class, and she had sass.
So, memento mori. Here's an [absolutely terrible quality] video of the Sisters of Mercy performing Jolene in Glasgow in 1983. Probably uploaded to YouTube on 56k dialup modem about 15 years later.
And, yeah. I was at this gig.
