I just don't use an iPad enough. The worst part of developing the app was having to carry an iPad with me. 😬

Every time I try to work an iPad into my computing life, it doesn't stick for very long. It feels like computing with mittens on. Nearly everything I frequently do with my computer or phone is less capable, more cumbersome, or outright impossible on an iPad.

And the iPad's strengths are generally things I rarely or never do.

@marcoarment After listening to the last ATP is it safe to assume your other iPad app in development is not moving forward? You mentioned not being able to consistently work with the remarkable tablets and things like that. Just curious.

@marcoarment @refactoredd I like my iPad with a keyboard for casual tasks, but geez has it been a buggy mess on iOS 26. The keyboard just craps out a lot of time. Surely it’s not just me? It makes the mittens experience feel like oven mitts

Which is partly a shame, because I really do enjoy using the Apple Pencil, and I had a GREAT name for the app.

I'm hoping that maybe a foldable iPhone will someday support an Apple Pencil. If that happens, I’ll dive back in for sure.

@marcoarment Thanks for sharing I know sometimes things in development don’t get discussed. I totally feel the same way with the iPad. I got an iPad Air before the price hikes to have one for development and as a media device. I haven’t used an iPad in years. But I still just use my phone or Mac for everything. I have to remember to use it so now I’ve been thinking about selling it…
